Glasson Basin Marina : How to find us

Exit & Entry instructions for Glasson Basin Marina:
The lock gates between the outer basin and the marina basin are operated by British Waterways. During the season they will open on all high tides where high tide occurs between sunrise and sunset.

Winter locking is available during daylight hours by giving 24 hours notice to the Lock Keeper. Craft delayed in locking through to the inner basin may remain in the outer basin until next penning.

By road:
Leave the M6 at junction 33, then at roundabout turn left on to the A6 (signposted Glasson Dock). Continue for a mile and a half you will come to a junction. Bear right at the cottage (signposted Glasson Dock). After approximately two miles you will reach the junction with the B5272. Turn right and continue on through the village of Thurnham. At the next junction, cross over the central island and bear right, still on the B5272. The road crosses over the Lancaster Canal and after 300 metres, turn left at the crossroads on to the B5290. Continue on until you reach a mini-roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout on to School Lane (signposted Yacht Marina). Cross the canal again and after 400 metres the marina entrance is on your right.
