Description

Cecilia III is a 62ft Semi-trad narrowboat superbly fitted out by Reading Marine in 2007. She is powered by a Barrus Shires 45hp engine, which was fitted new in 2011.Cecilia III is superbly fitted out in American light Oak, with many well thought out features, and has been well maintained by the present owner.

She is at present moored in our Diglis Marina in the centre of Worcester.

The front deck has locker seating, with cushions, on three sides and is protected by a cratch and cover. This allows the front deck to be used as a wet room on your return to the boat.
 

Double stable doors lead directly into the large saloon area [Approx. 11ft 3ins Lg] with a 6ft 4ins headroom. The ceilings are cream painted tongue and grove throughout giving a light airy feel to the interior.To port is the solid fuel stove with tiled surround. Alternative heating is provided by a Webasto diesel fired boiler feeding fin radiators the whole length of the boat and a heated towel rail. Opposite is the TV cupboard with double book shelves under the window. A Radio/CD/DVD player is fitted into the cupboard with speakers mounted in the ceiling. All cupboards have round profiles to the corners. Cecilia III is carpeted throughout, except for the tiled area in the galley. The ‘L’ shaped seating has options for a coffee table or full dining table with desmo legs. These tables stow away discretely under the gunwale. An Isotherm freezer box is fitted in the seating and is accessible from the gangway. The cushions are sculpted for comfort and are easily rearranged to provide an occasional double berth.

The ‘ U ’ shaped galley [Approx. 7ft 9ins Lg] is set to port with an internally opening glazed side hatch opposite. The galley is fully equipped with a 3 burner gas hob, eye level oven with separate grill, space for microwave, 12v fridge and 12v isotherm freezer box. The stainless steel sink is set in a solid block wood worktop. The cupboards are fitted with a carousel storage system and all drawers and doors have a soft close feature. Extra storage space is provided under the side hatch. A plate rack and wine rack are built in to port. Between the galley and the main bedroom is a full height pull out kitchen storage rack. Combined with the saloon the galley compliments the feeling of space in the living area.

The main bedroom [Approx. 11ft 2ins Lg] has a cross double berth that is 5ft wide and the full width of the boat. Either side of the bed is a set of drawers and wardrobes. Extra storage is provided underneath the bed and at the foot. The rear wardrobe is split with a washer / drier in the bottom half. Opposite is a 3 drawer unit with mirrors above. Above the bed is a Houdini hatch with sliding fly screen and blind. The rear half of the boat has port holes for extra privacy.

The utility room [Approx. 5ft 2ins Lg] makes intelligent use of this space. To port is a modern full size shower cubicle with mixer unit. Also to port the macerator style toilet is in its own cubicle. Opposite is a stylish wash basin on a three drawer unit with heated towel rail.

The rear cabin has ‘ L ’ shaped seating with drawer storage underneath. The seating easily converts to a 4ft 6ins double berth. Two tables, stowed under the gunwale, can be used with desmo legs to provide either a coffee table or full dining table. The full size cupboard to port provides access to all the electrical equipment and the rear of the control panel. Opposite is a TV cupboard with another radio fitted that also has speakers built into the ceiling. The central steps lead up to the semi trad style stern with lockers either side. These lockers are adequate for all necessary cruising equipment and have individual cushions for comfort. An outside hose with spray head is situated on the aft deck. This is very useful for washing down boots or dogs! The rear deck is also protected by a cover. Two taff rails are fitted for extra comfort whilst cruising.

Cecilia III has been superbly fitted out by Reading Marine and has many desirable features. The attention to detail is second to none. She has been well looked after by the present owners both internally and externally.
 

Cecilia III is ideally suited as a family live aboard or for extended cruising.

The existing mooring at Diglis Basin can be transferred on purchase of the boat.
