Cowroast Marina : Marina Facilities

Overview

Facilities include mooring for 110 boats on both Grade 1 and Grade 2 moorings.

A secure rural marina. Berths have mains power (may be shared) and there are water points around the marina.

Additional facilities include pump out, Elsan disposal, toilets and showers, laundry, secure free car parking, full Chandlery, diesel and engineering including wet dock and slipway. 

Boat maintenance

The comprehensive engineering facilities are run by an independent operator catering for all your marine maintenance requirements, offering a fully equipped workshop, full sized covered slipway and wet dock. With an excellent reputation the highly skilled and experienced engineer offers a professional service including full engine servicing and repairs, electrical works, blacking and welding.

The slipway is available for hire to the DIY boater at weekends for blacking and painting that requires your boat to be out of the water.

Chandlery

The well-stocked Chandlery offers a wide range of items to suit your boating needs. If we do not stock the item you require, we shall be pleased to obtain it for you.

Opening hours:

Tuesdays to Fridays: 9.30am to 4.30pm

Saturdays: 10.00am to 4.00pm

Sundays, Mondays & Bank Holidays: Closed

Chemical toilet disposal

Available 24 hours.

Diesel

Diesel is for sale from within the marina during Chandlery opening times.

Electricity

Berths have mains electricity points (some shared).  Electricity cards are sold in the Chandlery.

Gas

Gas, coal and logs are sold at the Chandlery.

Grocery shops

There is a service station 5 minutes walk from the Marina which offers a limited supply of goods.  A large Tesco’s is located on 1½ miles away in Tring, with access by car or bus. Additionally, there are other shops in Tring, Northchurch and Berkhampstead. 

Laundry

Token operated washers and dryers are available to marina customers only 24 hours (tokens can be purchased from the Chandlery).

Moorings

The following Grades are available at this site:-

Grade 1 and Grade 2.

Moorings may be paid in full in advance or over 10 standing order payments to include a 4% credit charge.

Visitor Moorings:

Visitor moorings are available at £11 per night or £70 per week.  

Pub / Cafe

The Cowroast Inn is situated on the A4251, 5 minutes walk from the marina.  There is a large selection of other pubs and restaurants locally in Tring, Northchurch and Berkhampstead.

Public telephone

The closest public telephone is on the main road (A4251), 5 minutes walk from the marina.

Pump out

The self-service pump out point is located within the marina.  £12 tokens are available from the Chandlery.

Rubbish disposal

There are bins for recycling and domestic rubbish only.

Showers

Showers are available to marina customers only 24 hours, at no charge.
