Customer Notice - Hull Marina..
Thursday 15th July 2010
Would all customers please aware of the following information:
All 10 Clipper vessels are due to arrive at Hull on Saturday morning. They will begin to pen in from 11:00 until 12:45. Please note during this time penning will be restricted to Clipper vessels only. At 10:30 on Saturday morning there will be an air display over the marina by the Red Devils.
On Monday 19th July, penning will be as normal until 10:45 when all 10 clippers will be locking out of the marina. Please note that during this time, there will be full lock restriction to all other customers as well as full restriction to movements within the marina.
On the same weekend, 17th and 18th July, the Hull Jazz Festival will return to the Marina Boatshed,1430 to 1900 Saturday and 1430 to 1730 Sunday.
The Sea Shanty festival has also been rearranged this year to tie in with the Clipper weekend, which will take place around the Marina and Waterfront area.
Hull City have instructed a number of road closures throughout the City. Both Kingston Street & Railway Street will be closed to traffic on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September. Castle Street will also be closed to traffic.
If you plan to arrive on the marina before the 17th and leave after 15:00 on the 18th, I would advise that you access the site as normal but park your car in the boatyard for added security. Please do not park your vehicle on Railway Street.
If you plan to arrive or depart the marina on either the 17th or the 18th after the road closures have been lifted, we have negotiated secure parking in the Yorkshire Forward car park, located behind the new apartment block on the Marina. Access to this car park is from Wellington Street and you will need to display a Clipper permit whilst your vehicle is parked in this car park. In order for you to obtain a permit you will need to confirm with us whether you will require a Clipper parking permit or not.
Please remember that if you plan to arrive before the 17th and depart after the 18th, then you will not need a permit as you will be able to park in the boatyard.

BWML are pleased to announce that Kings Marina will have avaiable from 1st September 2009 Residential Moorings for both Narrow and Wide Beam Craft. The mooring fees will be inclusive of Council Tax contribution to Newark & Sherwood District Council and additionally the option to purchase a License for a period of between 2-15 years and 20 years may be possible. New wide beam moorings have recently been completed at Kings Marina and will be available from 1st September 2009. These moorings are 16m long x 1.5m wide and can accommodate craft up to a maximum of 19m long and 4.4m wide.
