Boat brokerage

A range of cruisers, narrowboats and sports boats are available for sale here at the marina, most are listed in the boats for sale section of this web site.

We offer a wider choice of boats for sale with access to information on craft located at our other marinas.

Boat maintenance

Our fully-equipped workshop will cater for all maintenance requirements on steel, wood and GRP vessels, providing minor cosmetic repairs to full refurbishment or fit-out.

We service all makes and sizes of inboard or outboard engines. As Mariner agents we will supply and service all Mariner and other makes of outboards.

Staff are highly skilled and experienced in marine engineering, our two senior technicians are time served mechanics and have over 50 years of marine experience between them.

Business unit leasing

Onsite we have a cycle hire business and a fishing tackle/outdoor clothing shop.

Chandlery

Well stocked chandlery offering equipment for GRP, wooden and steel craft. We also offer a special order service able to cater for individual requirements.
As Mariner agents we supply all Mariner engines with full service facilities for these and other makes of outboards.

Within the BWML group of marinas we are also agents for Shire, Yanmar and Honda.

Fuel is available and dispensed by marina staff.

Electricity

Is available via metered bollards on each mooring, electricity is charged at cost price with an infrastructure charge per berth (currently £50 per year) Limited outlets are available on the hard standing area. A charge is made for this facility.

Gas is available through the Chandlery.

Grocery shops

Two Tesco superstores are located within 1/2 a mile of the marina.

Hard Standing

Hard standing is available for owners wishing to carry out maintenance on their craft. This is charged at normal mooring rates.

We have full washing and drying facilities on site.

Moorings

A selection of Grade 1 and Grade 2 moorings are currently available.

A range of new narrowboats, wide beams and Dutch barges is available from BWML.

Pub / Cafe

The Priory Marina Beefeater pub and restaurant is located next door. It was fully refurbished in 2004 and has a large Travel Inn adjoining.

Public telephone

A public telephone is situated inside our front gate.

Pump out

A fixed pump out is located on the visitors pontoon with tokens available from the Chandlery at £8.

A portable pump service out is operated by the marina team and charged at workshop hourly rate of £47 + VAT.

Railway / Train station

Bedford station to London St Pancras and the North is located 2 miles from the marina. St Pancras is only 40 minutes away by train. Sandy station to London Kings cross and the North is located 7 miles to the East of the marina.

Rubbish disposal

Bins are located around the marina for domestic waste with larger units and a skip for other waste.

Note: A local authority re-cyling site is located 200 yards from the marina and moorers are encouraged to use this facility for large items and batteries etc.

Showers

Customer showers and toilets are available including dedicated disabled units within our facilities block. The key for the disabled unit may be borrowed from the Chandlery or for longer term requirements a key can be obtained from the local authority as the units operate on the 'Radar' lock scheme utilising a common key across the country.

Slipway

A small slipway is available with a daily use charge of £12.50
Marina berth holders may use this facility without charge.
