Summer Hill is a 40ft Cruiser Stern Narrowboat superbly refurbished by the present owners in 2007. She is ideally suited for exploring the inland waterways, and is moored at the Whixall Marina on the Prees Branch off the beautiful Llangollen Canal.
The front and rear areas are covered with hardwood decking and the rear area is protected by a Pram Hood for winter use .
Glazed twin steel doors give access to the forward saloon which has 'L' shaped upholstered seating, with storage under, which converts to a double berth. There is a collapsible table which can easily be stored away when not in use.
The galley is fully equipped with stainless steel sink and drainer with a 12v Engle fridge under and a Stoves Vanette 5000WL cooker (4 burner hob, grill, and oven). Ample cupboards are provided including a wall unit and another on the starboard side providing an additional worktop with two wine racks.
The bathroom has a hip-bath with shower over, a ceramic washbasin on a vanity unit and Thetford swivel cassette toilet with an additional cassette.
The main bedroom has a double berth which extends over the passageway to provide a 6 ft wide bed on two 3ft orthopaedic mattresses. There is ample storage in modular boxes under the bed area.
The aft timber stable door gives access to the rear deck, this can provide an emergency exit when the bed is extended across the passageway.
The craft is finished in tongue & groove panelling above the gunnel and lined with carpeting below. The panelling has been painted almond white with feature trimmings in a pale green to match the galley cupboard doors. This provides a bright interior which is complemented by the coordinating curtains and furnishings. All lighting has been upgraded including two reading lamps provided in the saloon and one in the bedroom.
Central heating is provided by a Mikuni diesel Boiler, located in the engine compartment, feeding two radiators and providing hot water.
The Boat is sold complete with full cruising gear and is ready for setting off to explore the Llangollen Canal and beyond.

Starter + 3 leisure batteries with 65 watt solar panel & controller, 90 amp alternator (fitted May 2008) and 2kw inverter.
Engine compartment front bulkhead and underside of deck sound proofed with 30mm insulation.
Twin 13kg propane gas cylinders stored in gas locker on rear deck.
Smoke, Carbon Monoxide & Propane Gas alarms are fitted
The Engine and central heating boiler were serviced in February 2007.
Total Engine hours at July 2008: 850 hours.
The hull was blacked in June 2008.
