Description:

Stottsund is a beautiful former Norwegian post boat. She has a larch on oak hull, a pitch pine deck and an aluminium superstructure. Solidly built in 1947 for service inside the Arctic circle, this is a serious boat which could be cruised extensively. Seakindly, strong and manoevreable, Stottsund is also small enough to be comfortably handled by two.

Comfortable accomodation comprises one double cabin and one twin cabin, with four sofa 'bunks' if required. The superstructure comprises wheelhouse, saloon and galley. The saloon and wheelhouse feature lovely mahogany panelling and floor. Below is a toilet, lower saloon, double cabin and potential shower room. The twin cabin is accessed via a separate entry aft.

Information:

Webasto central heating (installed 2006) supplies 5 radiators and running hot water. A calorifier, with immersion heater, completes the setup.

Other equipment included: Lofrans electric windlass, gangway, 10 person liferaft, Tenfjord hydraulic steering, Furuno 841 radar (1999), Sailor RT144B dual watch radio. Sterling battery charger (new 2006) keeps the four batteries of the 24volt system in tip-top order.
